TESOL has entered a new phase in its history marked by our first hybrid conference. We have mobilized the collective energy of our volunteer leaders and staff and succeeded in pursuing our mission during the COVID-19 crisis.
As we move forward, we need to identify elected leaders who can think strategically and reach out globally, who understand our profession and the interests of our educators, and who represent the diverse voices of our members and learners. We are looking for individual TESOLers to serve as president-elect, director on the board (2 positions), or member of the Nominating Committee (8 positions).
To serve as an elected leader, you must have been an active member of TESOL International Association for the past 8 years for president-elect and 5 years for the board or Nominating Committee. Candidates for president-elect and the board of directors must have a strong professional background, financial and online literacy, and extensive leadership experience. Candidates for the Nominating Committee must be active in TESOL professional communities and be able to identify and contact candidates from a wide and diverse professional network.
