Call for Bloggers

The TESOL Blog is seeking four regular bloggers to post topical blogs bimonthly (once every other week). We are looking for ELT professionals who are interested in sharing their knowledge to write about classroom practice (activities, lessons, resources), trends in teaching, and practical ways to improve classroom practice and develop professionally in the following areas:

  • Teacher Education

  • Secondary Education

  • Adult Education

  • Speech, Pronunciation, & Listening

Blog posts will:

  • Adhere to the TESOL Blog mission, below

  • Be about 500 words

  • Be written in an informal voice

  • Be submitted biweekly, according to a predetermined schedule

  • Be subject to editing for grammar, length, and style

Interested writers should send an email to tbreland@tesol.org, including

  • CV

  • A brief cover letter outlining which topic you wish to write about

  • ten sample titles (each title should be 60 characters or fewer, including spaces, and should accurately reflect the content of the post)

  • One sample posting, with title: An example posting that is representative of your general blog content (500 words or fewer)

  • A brief author bio, written in third person (100 words or fewer)

Selected applicants will receive a complimentary membership in TESOL International Association, and the choice of an electronic subscription to TESOL Quarterly or a US$25 voucher for the TESOL Bookstore.
