Convention Travel Grants & Scholarships

TESOL International Association annually awards more than U.S.$50,000 in travel grants and registration scholarships to help TESOL members attend the TESOL International Convention & English Language Expo.

Travel Grants & Scholarship Available for TESOL 2023  

• TESOL Awards for International Participation, presented by the TOEFL Board of ETS
  To increase participation of presenters from outside of North America at the annual TESOL convention. 
  
  
• The Meral Güceri TESOL/TEFL Travel Grant
  To provide resources for English language professionals to attend the annual TESOL convention.
  
  
• The University of Pittsburgh Travel Award for IEP Instructors
  To support the professional development of ESL teachers and trainers in IEPs attending the annual TESOL convention. 

• TESOL Leadership Mentoring Program Award
  To help TESOL members become more involved in the work of the association.
  
  
• TESOL Professional Development Scholarships
  To help TESOL members attend the annual TESOL convention.

TESOL-sponsored awards and grants recognize exceptional TESOL members. These awards are made possible by the support of TESOL's partner National Geographic Learning and generous donations from members like you.

• TESOL Teacher of the Year Award, presented by National Geographic
  To recognize and honor exceptional English language teachers at all levels.
  
  
• The James E. Alatis Award for Service to TESOL
  To acknowledge outstanding and extended service by a TESOL member.
  
  
• The Ron Chang Lee Award for Excellence in Classroom Technology
  To honor TESOL members who have achieved excellence through the implementation of technology in ELT.
