The affiliate workshops have taken on a new format for 2009 as we consider the relationship between TESOL and its affiliates. Affiliate leaders will discuss the evolving and synergistic relationship between TESOL and its affiliates, with the mutual goal of promoting interests of ESL professionals worldwide. Ample networking opportunities will be provided, and participants will exchange views on the following issues: (a) the benefits of TESOL affiliation and membership, (b) how affiliate leaders contribute to TESOL, (c) TESOL/affiliate growth, sustainability, and leadership, and (d) TESOL’s role in promoting affiliate collaboration as a means of defining itself.

All three TESOL presidents—Shelley Wong, Sandy Briggs, and Mark Algren—will greet affiliate leaders and set the stage for an engaging discussion.

Be sure to mark your calendar for the workshops, scheduled on Wednesday, March 25, 2009, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.
