The
TESOL Advocacy & Policy Summit is a cornerstone professional development opportunity for English language educators to learn about U.S. federal education issues and advocate for policies that support multilingual learners and the English language education field.
The summit is now being offered in person and virtually! The in-person summit will take place from 20- 22 June at the Holiday Inn Arlington at Ballston. The virtual summit will include the sessions on 21 June, which will also be recorded and made available to participants following the event.
By attending the
in-person TESOL Advocacy & Policy Summit, you will:
- Learn from experts about the latest education policy.
- Share local issues impacting your work.
- Network with professionals in the field.
- Meet with your legislators.
As a virtual summit participant, you will learn from policy experts on 21 June. On 22 June, you can engage in our summit social media campaign to advocate for issues that impact you, your learners, and the profession and take time to meet virtually with your members of Congress.
All participants will receive a copy of the new
TESOL Zip Guide: Advocating for English Learners (print copy for in-person registrants and PDF copy for virtual registrants.)
